Low Carb Shandy

This is a classic British summer cooler which I tasted for the first time when I was a teen during a family visit to Gibraltar (yes … the Rock of Gibraltar). Very refreshing on hot summer days! If you make two, you’ll use up all of the beer and all of the ginger ale.

Remember that alcohol has carbs + calories that add up quickly.

Ingredients:

6 ounces chilled light beer
6 ounces chilled diet ginger ale (I use Zevia brand)
lemon wedge

Directions:

  1. Simply combine the two in a tall beer glass (50% of each), run the lemon wedge around the rim + garnish with the lemon wedge.
  2. Enjoy!

Using the lowest- carb light beer, this cooler will have less than 2 grams of carbohydrate per serving.
